These highlight videos, as well as the rest on the Sioux City Highlight Reels page, had to air within 5 minutes of the end of the game that had just happened, and had to be posted to the web with a short write-up within a half-hour.

 

2011 Soccer Opening

This was the Opening sequence to all HC Media Soccer broadcasts for the fall 2011 season. More openings and HCTV sports pieces can be viewed on the HC Sports Coverage page.

 

Hastings vs Doane Pink Night Recap

For a classmate’s senior project/blog, Kirk did this piece to recap an exciting volleyball match against the school’s main rival. It can also be viewed on the HC Sports Coverage page.

 

Nate Polak Journey to the MLS

Hastings senior Nate Polak was drafted by the New York Red Bulls of the MLS, and the next night HC Media was broadcasting two basketball games. This piece was done in a couple hours before needing to be at the arena for set up. More like it can be viewed under Late College Sports and Award Winning Pieces.

 

Comeback City

This video was done for a class, and features and in-depth look at a special moment on the court when Hastings came back to score 7 straight points in a tiebreaker elimination set to advance in the National Tournament. It can be viewed as an Award Winning Piece.

 

Kendra Schwein Highlight Reel

Senior year, volleyball player Kendra Schwein and her family came to Kirk asking if he could do a highlight reel video for them in an attempt to advance Schwein’s career in Europe. It, and more college sports videos, can be viewed on the HC Sports Coverage page.
